The Faithful Footprints Grants are designed to reduce financial barriers for energy efficiency projects.

The grants are available for any United Church congregation, camp. or outreach ministry. 

UCC is offering grants up to $20,000 in energy efficient grant money and will also offer an additional $10,000 for decarbonizing buildings. 

The goal of the grants is to start the process of decarbonizing the United Church of Canada buildings across the country. This goal is to help meet the target of 80% carbon reduction by 2050.

St. David's received the wonderful news on Nov. 12, 2024 that their application for $30,000 had been approved!!

We are so very thankful for the Faithful Footprints Grant program which is helping us to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Our projects include: removing our commercial gas stove and replacing with 2 electric stoves, replacing a refrigerator with a new Energy Star one, converting all of our lights to LED's (except the Sanctuary which was done in 2018), replacing our LED sign (with one that is more energy efficient), and installing air conditioning in our church hall. The air conditioning will be partially covered by the grant.
